What would you like to share with students about your experience at UCSB?

My personal experience at UCSB has been extremely welcoming! I have been able to find my community within UCSB, and my home away from home! Putting myself out there really changed my experience.

Top tips for fellow students?

Really try taking advantage of the resources (thrive, SRB, El Centro, Women's Center, EOP) that are available on campus! Also, build a support system, put yourself out there, and try new things. If you can take a walk and enjoy your time here :) Live in the moment, and take lots of pictures, so much can change in the future.

Best advice you've received that has helped you at UCSB.

The best advice I received is to put yourself out there. Literally just meeting new people and stepping outside your comfort zone will bring in so many opportunities!

Why did you choose to be an EOP office assistant?

I chose to be an EOP office assistant because I wanted to give back to my community. I would love to help those who have helped me in the past by paying it forward. I truly value community and support! If I am able to give love the same way I received it, I hope to be part of the change. Being someone that a person can find comfort and be valued and seen can make such a great impact in someone's life, and I feel as though EOP is the starting point. So I hope everyone can look at EOP as the support they have access to, in order to make their college experience less stressful!
