If you are a first-generation and/or income-eligible student, what has your experience been like at UCSB?
My experience at UCSB as both a first generation and income-eligible student has been full of new experiences and adventures that have helped me flourish into a new version of myself.
What would you like to share with students about your experience at UCSB?
Being at UCSB has taught me so many lessons that will stick with me for the rest of my life. Although it was difficult to get accustomed to being in higher education, I have definitely benefited from all the experiences and resources I have encountered.
Top tips for fellow students? (Study tips, self care hacks, fav resources on campus, etc)
Look for resources on campus! There are so many different programs that are there to help students with almost anything.
Best advice you've received that has helped you at UCSB.
Look for your community! It can be very hard to feel at home in an institution as big as UCSB, but joining cultural and professional clubs is a great way to find your people.
Why did you choose to be a member of the EOP Team?
I chose to become a member of the EOP team because I wanted to help students from similar backgrounds as me find the resources that can make them succeed in their higher education career and beyond.
