If you are a first-generation and/or income-eligible student, what has your experience been like at UCSB?
EOP has helped me with every conflict or worry I have faced at UCSB. The counselors are great, and the staff makes me feel supported and seen!
What would you like to share with students about your experience at UCSB?
Finding your place in community and getting involved in organizations on campus completely change your experience, I would say for the better! It's great for networking, making life long friends and creating a supportive environment for yourself!
Top tips for fellow students? (Study tips, self care hacks, fav resources on campus, etc)
The SRB is my favorite study spot. The cultural resource centers are cozy and quiet, and not far from Isla Vista if you plan on living off campus!
Best advice you've received that has helped you at UCSB.
Take it all in, it flys by!
Why did you choose to be an EOP peer mentor?
I chose to be an EOP peer mentor because the peer mentors before me played a huge role in my experience at UCSB, providing support and helping to open doors to new opportunities for me. I hope to do the same for other students.
